Chinese Enterprises will become the biggest winners in EV industry
- Oct 19, 2018 -

China's largest lithium battery supplier, GanFeng Lithium, get the largest order from Tesla.

Which supply with more than 56,000 tons of lithium hydroxide from 2018 to 2020 to meet the production needs of Tesla electric vehicle batteries. that's one-fifth of Tesla's total demand.

This year, Tesla solved most of the production problems by adding production lines and other methods. Tesla's future model model 3 has also resumed production capacity.

The future construction of the factory in China will once again have a great improvement of Tesla's capacity.

Although, the production capacity has gone up, Tesla still facing one of the biggest problems, that's the most important part for electric vehicles, battery.

In the future, Tesla will need a larger battery supply to meet the growing demand for production lines. The original battery supplier has not been able to meet such a huge battery demand.

By the end of next year, Tesla may need as much as 28,000 tons of lithium hydroxide per year to meet the needs of its vehicles. This requires Tesla to seek a larger battery suppliers to meet its expansion.

At present, Tesla is in the three major systems of powertrain system, electric drive system and charging, among which there are 21 chinese enterprises in the field of cooperation, including batteries, sensors, gearboxes, charging equipment, etc.

The battery orders from internationally renowned car companies have made Gaofeng Lithium one of the largest suppliers of electric vehicle battery packs in the world, which means that most of the international electric vehicles will use the battery packs produced in China.

In addition to batteries, many EV systems and even interior parts are also manufactured by Chinese companies. Therefore, in today's global automotive electrification, China's manufacturing companies may become the biggest winners. This will also promote better and faster development of the domestic electric vehicle sector.
